Shutdown Detector is a program to detect when the computer is shutting down and allow you the opportunity to prevent it from doing so. You can access settings and other features by right-clicking on the program's icon in the system tray (this area is usually at the bottom right of the screen). The program can be password protected so the computer won't shut down without the password. Notes: When you prevent a shut down under Windows Vista (R) you may see the message "this program is preventing Windows from shutting down". Simply respond to the message accordingly. The program does not necessarily prevent other applications from shutting down.
